Kentucky Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reference Case Projections
The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) prepared a preliminary assessment of Kentucky's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and anthropogenic sinks (carbon storage) from 1990 to 2030 for the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet and the Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence. The inventory and reference case projection (forecast) estimates serve as a starting point to assist the KCAPC and its Technical Work Groups (TWGs) with an initial comprehensive understanding of Kentucky's current and possible future GHG emissions. This information informs the identification and analysis of policy options for mitigating GHG emissions. The draft inventory and forecast report will be revised to incorporate comments to be provided by the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence, and the KCAPC and TWGs during the process of developing Kentucky's Climate Action Plan. Final Kentucky Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reference Case Projections, 1990 - 2030 (June 2010).
